I am a little surpised by your conclusions. I work with Homey for about 4 years now and I find it extreme easy to use. The automations wit Advanced flows is extremely powerful, but still aesy to start with. The 6 antenna’s of different protocols is quit great too. Considering the cost for different hubs, needed for other systems, it less expensive then it seems. Sometimes i had issues, but
exempt 1 problemeverysthing was solved by the company or the very active community. In the 10 months after your test very much devices are added, almost dayly. Within a few weeks a very great and intuitive dashboard will be launched (now in beta). In my experience Homey is the easiest to use and has a very high spous-acceptance. Did i mention how great the flow-editor is? True: before buying a device I alway look up if there is an Homey-app for it.What do you consider as a system?
What controllers do you recomend for actually switching loads?
I’d argue that Alexa, apple and google are the gateway drugs to smart homes. As soon as you start getting more devices and find something that you want that isn’t compatible with your current setup, you start gravitating to home assistant naturally. Mainly because it likely works with all of your existing stuff and is still pretty easy to use with more compatibility and features.
Great job…..very helpful video…
Thanks for the video. So I’m actually Perry good at listening to English with a strong accent. This was a bit tough, especially if I increased the speed.
I wonder about a future world where the voice over could be in whatever language (or accent) one wants.
But thanks for hour video.
Having a poll results also being your weighing system is genius. Kudos to that!
absolutely best content on the topic
Perfect video, helped me out big time.
Im stil deciding if my stage 1 should be google or alexa and my stage 2 smartthings or homey pro.
Im gonna watch some Google vs Alexa videos, and smartthings vs homey pro video's.
Thanks!
Hi! Could u tell me if the philips hue lights and accesories are compatible with the apple home kit plz , like can i command it through the apple homepod
awesome video man!
Hi Alex. Can we install Tuya central control panel in singapore? Our switches has no neutral wires. All LIVE & COM wires.
Your explanation is so simple and easy to understand. Great 👍
What about privacy the web has articles that say Tuya has security issues it can allow any data or your pics to be stolen compromising any device on the same network as Tuya.
Wanted to get the Samsung SmartThings after seeing your first review video but looking at your current ranking, I guess not? Haha
If, for example, I have a zigbee device linked to Amazon Alexa, will it still be a cloud network or would it already be a local network?
Hmmm, so Google Home is the best option. Kool, this video narrowed down which app I will use to manage all my home smart devices. Not sure how Apple solution got such a high mark when it comes to not being free. But hey I get which you prefer.
Shut up
Which system that can connect to power source and dont have to replace individual devices battery?
i have legate ziptrack using smart life connecting to google home but it never work even though it work in smart life – keep saying my device don't support that funtionality. overall having alot of other issues with google it's just faster doing it on my own zzzz. even getting it to play specific playlist from sportify is a no go
Any old PC can run Home Assistant, so for many user the hub cost is 0
Thanks!

can I subscription to google nest aware from singapore?
home assistant walkthrough please!
Thanjks Alex. Do you have any YT links to Homebridge hobbs?
Hi Alex, Currently, I'm on stage 1 option 2. All my smart switches and bulbs are Tuya wifi. Devices are connected to smartlife app and linked to my google home for command and control.
However, recently, my router connect seems to be pretty unstable. As some devices will get DC e.g camera, vacuum robot and switches.
Im not sure if it is due to too many wifi devices(70-80) tagging on the 2.4Ghz.
Should i consider to process to stage 2 to manage all the devices from a HUB instead of direct connection to the main router?
Hi Alex! Just curious if you know how to automate a zigbee rain sensor to the google home assistant such that when it detects rain, google home will be automated to run the scene to close the zip tracks. In one of your previous videos I saw that you configured something similar to close a blind but for some reason I’m unable to make it work for my zip tracks. Just to share further, both my zip tracks and the rain sensor are already set up in google home however I can’t seem to make both of them work simultaneously😂 any help is appreciated ! Thanks !
About to embark on my journey of smart home, I have been reading a lot of materials online just wanted to clarify, can I use a smart switch with a smart light, I have seen articles online that it’s not recommended to do so and guess what, I have all smart switches bought (Aqara Z1 Pro) certain lights I have are also smart light, does it mean I have to pair the smart light with a traditional switch?
It shows you are in Asia. HA is a pain in the ass
Hi Alex
What would you recommend for someone who is retrospectively trying to turn his home smart but didn’t plan anything in advanced. which means I did know I want to implement a smart home set up, but I didn’t bother with the products specifics ( whether or not they worked togehter)
What happen to Smart life? You didn’t seems to talk about it in this video. Do you have any solution to link all my mi home and tuya lights?
Sorry, but any smart home solution that is dependent on which phone, and computer I have, is a non-starter.
