So, I am HR Director, and I interview applicants a lot. I took your advice, and I wanted to change up to my approach because i was interviewing for a job. I used this approached today, and after I answered her question, she was like wow..like damn you impressed me…Good job on the video
They said tell me about yourself, not your work history.
Sorry but this response is wooden. I would not hire anyone who gave me this BS
She right
It is very fast
Wow. I always thought this question is for personality answer
It’s okay giving this advice, but it’s nerves and trying to remember it all which is the main problem. Beautiful woman that you are and thanks!.
I had a job interview today, and I prepared following this advice and I felt myself more confident. But even if I weren't accepted, Imma still following this advice until get my goal.
Thank you for this video!
Yeah honestly this was informative but you tried to push everything into a short so I feel every description was super quick
How does this work for more entry level positions…or general positions
As a healthcare worker interviewing for jobs this example was not helpful at all 😑
It’s a nice statement but the question was “Tell me about your self” but your answer is more on experiences and achievements. Tell me about yourself is something not mention in the CV
Should we read the answers like you are? Or did you not have time to memorize the answers before you posted this video? I'm not sure if you are aware that most interviews are done by a face to face application such as zoom today.
I have a bachelor's degree in engineering and I started my career as a mathematics teacher, I then transitioned into the banking and finance sector as a direct sales agent. Right now, I am the customer support analyst in my current company where I get to analyse customers data and identify trends to make valuable business decisions.
Ma'am, this is Wendy's.
There are 2 companies who invited me for an interview but they want me to prepare 4 things. 1) sales pitch (ok reasonable) 2) first 3 months action plan 3) competitors comparison SWOT analysis (ok for 2 & 3 As long as its straight forward, not a full blow presentation) BUT 4) my business list with contacts, companies, name etc. Which i think are inappropriate and unreasonable. How do I reject politely? Am I wrong for feeling this way given the current market condition?
aka Glaze yourself and exaggerate
"Tell me about yourself" is such a mismatched question there I think. "Why are you a good fit" is way more honest because the question is about what the person can do and not about who the person is. Corporate is so cringe a lot of the time and I hate it so deeply. Just so many fake people and dumb codes. Be honest for once, for God's sake PLEASE.
Growing from 20k to 45k wouldn't that be growing by like 125%
Im in the middle of a interview, wish me luck guys🙏🏾
Wow that's amazing
Thanks for nothing.
If you are trying to help with this question…. Theoretically it sounded great , in real life you need a week to memorize what you just said ( according to everyone’s experience)…..even you are reading from a script 😑

120% of 25k isn't 40k its 30k
Jeez, is that where we are , biggest accomplishment on getting e Mail addresses.
That's worth a $ 42, 000 student loan!
Its easy to answer questions while looking at a piece of paper😂
haha..you are reading. Your eyes tell
This is the best answer ive seen by far
So you’re relating yourself to work?
Tell me about yourself is to broad what if you talk about how you are a good leader or a fun person … if im asked that question i will answer it like it was asked unless they say tell me your work experience
Bro what if I'm a uni student who jsut needs a job to be able to buy a car. My only past jobs were babysitting and a temporary part time receptionist at my church.
When your previous jobs have nothing to do with the current one and you have no project to highlight 😓
this is not good. When they ask you to tell them about yourself, it’s about YOU. not your job history. they will go over job history and that’s when you say this stuff.
As an HR consultant who interviews job applicants I can 100% confirm this is fantastic advice which will really work. Great video!
This is perfect, it does a few things. Quickly Sums up your experience while focusing on how its relevant to the role. So many times I have fumbled and rambled on after being asked this question and really made the rest of my interview awkward 😢. Now I know what to concentrate on for my interview this Wednesday and showcase my strengths, value I can bring to the role and most importantly feel and project confidence! Thanks so much, Wish me luck yall! 🙏
Boring
you mean they don't want to know about my hobbies? 🙁
Just make it simple as possible that is all, no one will remember so much to say.
I’ve been working since the 80s. Food service, customer service, marketing, retail, various education positions. Never, ever have I been asked this question. And if I were, I would immediately and politely inform the interviewer why that question is disrespectful and rude, and then leave. You do not want to work for a place that asks this question because all they want is a fanboy employee or one they can work to the bone for almost no pay. Respect yourself and walk away. Yes, I have a degree in HR—we are taught NOT to ask this question.
I think it's a great advice but I can't talk this fast.
stumble over or trip up, not stumble upon.
The next question they will ask is why were you fired or why did the company go out of business if you were so productive.
STAR method
